"Polymers and the Digital Age"
The 21st century has seen a reinvention of sorts of how polymers impact our daily lives. From paper thin displays that re-define portability, interactive interfaces, clothing that can sense our physiology, smart phones that can project 3D visual cues to media that can alter our perception of reality - we live in a highly digitized world and polymers have been key to this revolution. This year’s Freiburg Macromolecular Colloquium will bring into focus how electroactive polymers and molecular assembly processes combined with innovative design and processing have played a role in ushering in this exciting transformative future.
